Edwin Sheldon Whitehouse (1883-1965)

of New York City & Newport, R.I.; U.S. Minister to Guatemala and Colombia

He lived between 1040 Fifth Avenue, New York City; "Eastbourne Lodge" in Newport, Rhode Island; and, a large estate outside Tallahassee, Florida. His wife, Mary, was a granddaughter of Charles Crocker, of the Central Pacific Railroad. Her brother-in-law, Winthrop Williams Aldrich, was the U.S. Ambassador to the U.K.
