Edmund Quincy (1808-1877)
of Dedham, Norfolk Co., Massachusetts
He was born at Boston and graduated from Harvard (1827). Having been a lawyer at Boston he retired to Dedham where he was a vocal proponent of, "free men, free soil, free principles, and free trade". In 1833, he married Lucilla, daughter of Daniel Parker, of Boston. They had six children, four of whom lived to adulthood.
