Dr. William Cabell (1699-1774)

J.P. and Burgess of "Warminster" Nelson Co., Virginia

He was born in England at Warminster, Wiltshire. He graduated from the Royal College of Surgery & Medicine in London and served as a Surgeon in the Royal Navy. He emigrated to Virginia in 1726 where he eventually accrued an estate of 26,000 acres. He was married twice and had five adult children all by his first wife.
