David Weisgal (1932-2009)
David Weisgal, of Palm Beach, Florida
Born at Toronto, he graduated from Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School and Brandeis University, gaining a degree in political science. In New York, he concentrated on fundraising for the Weizmann Institute founded by his father. After twenty years in New York, he and his wife-to-be bought Wheatleigh a Gilded Age mansion in The Berkshires and they ran it as a country inn for six years before moving to Palm Beach.
