Dr. David Forbes (c.1752-1789)
M.D., of Edinburgh, emigrated to Dumfries, Virginia
He was educated at the University of Edinburgh. On April 17, 1774, he married Margaret Stirling (1754-1806). Soon after their marriage, they emigrated to America (the story of which is told on her profile page) where David served as a Surgeon in the British Army during the American Revolution, before settling in Virginia.
