Daniel Warfield (1783-1861)

Millowner, of Baltimore, Maryland

He was born at Howard County, Maryland, and in early adulthood lived at White Cottage which was later occupied by Thomas Rowles. In 1825, he breakfasted with General Lafayette at Robert's Tavern in Cooksville. Soon after that, he moved to Baltimore where he entered the milling business of Francis Mactier and married his daughter, Nancy. He later owned a mill at Jones Falls near Baltimore.
