Cyrus Hall McCormick Jr. (1859-1936)

of 1500 North Astor Street, Chicago; President of International Harvester

In 1918, he came in at eighteenth (tied with Mrs Russell Sage, Joseph Widener, Arthur Curtiss James and Nicholas Brady) on the first ever Forbes Rich List with an estimated fortune of $60-million. He married twice and had two sons who lived to adulthood. In 1914, he purchased the Patterson-McCormick House (see images), hiring David Adler to double it in size in 1927.
