Col. George Hancock (1754-1820)
of "Fotheringay" Botetourt Co., Member of the Virginia House of Representatives
He served in the Revolutionary War as Colonel of Infantry in the Virginia Regiment and Aide-de-Camp to Count Pulaski. He was the father-in-law of William Clark, of Lewis & Clark fame. He built and lived at "Fotheringay" in Botetourt County, Virginia.
