Col. Abraham Gardiner (1720-1782)

West Indian Merchant, of East Hampton, New York

He was a shipping merchant and owned two brigs that traded with the West Indies. He was, "a zealous supporter of the measures of the Continental Congress". In 1745, he married Mary Smith of Moriches, a descendant of Richard Smith of Smithtown. They were the parents of five children (listed).
