Charlotte Augusta Guldenfennig (1821-1904)

Mrs Charlotte Augusta (Guldenfennig) Berwind

She was said to have been from a well-to-do family at Minden in Prussia, christened Augusta Wilhelmina Gildenpfennig. She met her husband while the they were both travelling in the United States and they were married at Philadelphia in 1845. Their sons established the largest coal mining company in the United States and counted themselves personal friends of the Kaiser.
