Charles Tracy Barnes (1911-1972)

"Tracy Barnes" CIA Chief of Station in Germany (1954-56) & the U.K. (57-59)

In 1954, he managed the covert overthrow of the democratically elected President of Guatemala. In 1960, he was appointed Assistant Deputy Director for (CIA) Plans, with direct responsibility for the CIA operation leading to the failed Bay of Pigs Invasion in April 1961. In 1962, he was made Head of the CIA's Domestic Operations Division.
