Charles Richard Crane (1858-1939)

U.S. Ambassador to China & Founder of the Institute of Current World Affairs

He lived between 655 Park Avenue, New York City, and his summer home "Juniper Point" (see images) at Woods Hole, Massachusetts (finished in 1913). The library at Juniper Point was described as, "a jewel-like study hidden above the boathouse, contain(ing) superb interior features, such as board-and-batten cypress paneling, electroliers and leaded glass panels."
