Charles DeWolf (1745-1820)

Major Charles Potter DeWolf, of Bristol, Rhode Island

He was a master mariner and with his brothers made a fortune as slave traders. He acted as the family's financial consultant within the business. He took an active part in the American Revolution and in the War of 1812. Linden Place was built by his son, George.
