Charles C. Eggert (1945-2014)

"Kip" Eggert, of Rhinebeck, New York

He was born in Toledo, Ohio. He grew up at Maizefield in Dutchess County, New York. He was educated at Millbrook School and majored in literature at Bard College. He joined the U.S. Navy and attended Officer Candidate School in Newport, Rhode Island. In later life he was a teacher, nurse and a wood craftsman in which capacity he appeared on the Martha Stewart show. He was a writer, bird-watcher, fisherman, hiker, and naturalist. He died at Rhinebeck, New York. He was unmarried.
