Capt. Robert Taylor Raynes (1822-1891)

of "Forden" Côte Saint-Antoine, Montreal; Captain in the 23rd Royal Welch Fusiliers

He resigned his commission in 1858 and lived with his family at "Forden" (see images), his wife's childhood home in what is now Westmount, Montreal. They had eight childrem none of whon married nor had children of their own. Forden remained in their family until their last child died and it was demolished in 1949.
