Antoine Le Moyne de Châteauguay (1683-1747)
Governor of Louisiana, French Guiana, & Cape Breton; 2nd Sieur de Châteauguay
In 1698, he accompanied his brothers (Iberville and Bienville) on an expedition to rediscover the mouth of the Mississippi River. He served in various administrative positions in Mobile, Dauphin Island, and New Orleans for more than four decades.
