Anthony Morris (1705-1780)

Owner of the Morris Brewery, of Philadelphia

He built the Old Morris Brewery in 1745 (demolished in 1900) that was started by his grandfather and is shown in the image at Dock and Pear Streets, Philadelphia. Providing good spring, it made Morris' the finest beer in town.
