Anna Perkins (Slade) Maclean (b.1867)

Anna Perkins (Slade) Maclean, of Wells Hill, Toronto

She was born and educated at Boston, a direct descendant of Richard Clarke. Through her mother, she was a niece of Countess Elise (Hensler) d'Edla Saxe-Cobourg-Gotha, the wife of Ferdinand II of Portugal, Prince of Saxe-Cobourg-Gotha. In 1900, she married Lt.-Col. John Bayne Maclean, President of the Maclean Publishing Company. They lived at Well's Hill, Toronto, and had one son.
