Mrs Sarah "Angelica" (Singleton) Van Buren; Acting First Lady of the United States

She acted as First Lady of the United States for her father-in-law, Martin Van Buren, his wife, Hannah, having predeceased him. Angelica was a cousin of former First lady Dolley Madison who introduced her to her husband. They were the parents of three sons who were all prominent in New York society but died unmarried.
