Angelica (Schuyler) Church (1756-1814)

Mrs Angelica (Schuyler) Church

The village and surrounding area of Angelica, New York, is named for her. She was a well-known socialite and mixed with the elites of France, England and America. In the Broadway hit musical Hamilton (about her brother-in-law with whom she is believed to have had an affair, Alexander Hamilton) she is depicted as witty and intelligent and features in several songs, including "The Schuyler Sisters".
