Mrs "Toady" Alice Bremond (Gerson) Chase

Her great-grandfather, Dr. Paul Barbe Bremond (1771-1851), was - according to family legend - Court Physician to Napoleon I and a first cousin of the Empress Josephine, who began life in Marseilles and later emigrated to Baltimore, Maryland, circa 1805, before settling in New York City.
