Alexander Van Rensselaer (1850-1933)
President of the Philadelphia Orchestra Association & Trustee of Princeton University
His wife, daughter of financier Anthony J. Drexel, inherited $35-million after the death of her first husband, John R. Fell, by whom she had four surviving children. Van Rensselaer was stepfather to those four children and died leaving his considerable fortune to his three stepdaughters - his stepson having predeceased him by a matter of weeks.
