Alessandro Dandini di Cesena (1899-1991)

He was an impoverished Italian aristocrat. When he was 33-years old, he married the never-before-married 52-year old Lillian Remillard, most famously associated with Carolands in California. She was the capable and successful owner of the Remillard Brick Company started by her father and on marrying Alex she made him a co-owner. Big mistake. The marriage was over after just six years during which time he had conducted a string of public affairs and in 1942 was imprisoned for tax evasion and embezzling over $50,000 of company money!
