L'Hôtel de Cluny
6 Place Paul-Painlevé, Paris, 5th Arrondissement
Built between 1485 and 1510 by the Abbots of Cluny, the Hôtel de Cluny is regarded as perhaps the most outstanding example of civic medieval architecture in Paris. It incorporates both Gothic and Renaissance architecture and has been a public museum since 1843, displaying French Gothic relics. In New York, it has influenced several mansions including the Warburg Mansion and the Harry F. Sinclair House.
