Gisburne Park
Gisburn, Lancashire
Completed in 1736, for Thomas Lister (1688-1745) M.P., whose grandson was created the 1st Baron Ribblesdale. After the death of the 4th Baron Ribblesdale who had taken the society American beauty, Ava Lowle Willing, for his second wife, the estate was sold to pay death duties. Today, it is a hospital and equestrian center.
