Donner's Park
Altona-Hamburg
Built from 1820, for Conrad Hinrich Donner (1774-1854) overlooking the River Elbe, it sits amid beautiful landscaped grounds overflowing with roses and rhododendrons and a pavilion that housed his magnificent art collection. The "schloss" (castle) has since been demolished but the gardens are open to the public.
