Bohemia Villa
Northport, Waldo, Maine
Bohemia Villa was commissioned by Ira M. and Annie E. Cobe in the village of Bayside in Northport, Maine. The house was at the time the largest home in the Victorian community, and was the first built in the Shingle style. The house sits directly above the water on Penobscot Bay, and included a separate stable house and servants quarters, which were divided from the house by Shore Road. Ten years later, the Cobes commissioned Benjamin Marshall to build Oak Hall a few hundred feet up the hill from Bohemia Villa.
