Ashintully
Tyringham, Berkshire County, Massachusetts
Built in 1912, for Robb de Peyster Tytus (1876-1913) and his wife, Grace Seeley Henop (1876-1928). It was designed by Francis L.V. Hoppin who also built Edith Wharton's The Mount and Blithewood in the Hudson Valley for Captain Andrew Zabriskie. Hoppin used Belton House in England as the inspiration for its classical design. It was consumed by a forest fire that swept over Tyringham in 1952.
